About Us

Grow |  Rest |  Rise

At Tide & Orchard Counseling, our mission is to support whole-person wellness through meaningful connection, creative healing, and grounded presence. We help individuals of all ages rediscover their strength, navigate change, and grow into the fullest version of themselves—through nurtured rest and resilience.

Our Story

This practice was created from a simple but powerful belief: healing happens when we feel safe, seen, and supported—mind, body, and heart. A space where you can show up as you are.

This practice is shaped by experience from crisis centers, school-based counseling, and university settings. It’s also deeply influenced by a steady belief: meaningful relationships are what help people feel safe enough to grow. We know that having someone truly show up for you—consistently and with care—can be life-changing.

We are guided by the values of authenticity and connection and by the idea that our physical and emotional selves are inseparable. That’s why we integrate wellness-informed practices like movement, mindfulness, and creative play—especially for kids, who express themselves most freely through play therapy.

The Name

Tide symbolizes change—the natural cycles we all move through as we grow, heal, and begin again. Like water, healing can be gentle or powerful, but it’s always in motion. It reminds us that we don’t have to stay stuck; movement is possible.

Orchard speaks to rootedness and grounding. It represents a strong foundation, steady growth, and the kind of care that nurtures long-term strength. Just as orchards are cultivated with time, patience, and intention, healing takes shape when we are safe and supported.

Together, they represent the core of what this practice offers: a place where you can grow strong, rest well, and rise with purpose.

Who We Serve

We support individuals across the lifespan—from young children to adults—through counseling, play therapy, and wellness-informed care designed to meet each persons individual needs.

Children

Children process the world through play, and our work honors that. Using child-centered play therapy, we help children build emotional regulation and develop confidence in a place they feel safe.

Adolecents

The teen years are full of complexity, identity formation, and emotional growth. We offer a space for adolescents to explore who they are, navigate stress and social challenges, and learn skills for managing anxiety, mood, and change.

Young Adults

Young adulthood can bring both excitement and uncertainty. Whether you’re navigating transitions, relationships, identity, or burnout, we provide support that blends emotional insight with practical strategies for balance, wellness, and purpose.

Adults

For adults, therapy is a place to slow down, reconnect, and realign with what matters most. We integrate evidence-based care to support your mental and physical wellness—while holding space for healing, growth, and meaningful change.

Meet The Therapist

Me as a Therapist:

I’m a licensed professional counselor who works with children, young adults, and adults facing change, stress, or just trying to figure out what’s next. My background includes work in crisis centers with a trauma informed approach, school-based counseling, and university settings—so I understand how life transitions, pressure, and emotional overwhelm can impact people at every age.

As a former college athlete, I deeply care about the connection between physical and mental health. I often integrate the importance of movement, mindfulness, and creative tools into therapy because how we feel often shows up in our bodies first—especially for kids, who naturally process through play.

Whether I’m supporting a child through emotional regulation, or helping an adult rebuild structure and confidence, I focus on building a steady, trusting relationship. Therapy isn’t about quick fixes—it’s about being heard, gaining tools that work, and finding ways to move forward with strength and clarity.

Me behind the scenes:

Outside the therapy office, life is full and active. I’m married with three kids, and my husband and I spend a lot of time coaching youth sports. I stay active by playing volleyball and have recently picked up tennis. If I’m not at my office, I’m probably in a gym somewhere.

I’m a self-proclaimed foodie and try to avoid chain restaurants when traveling—sampling the local flavors is half the fun. Travel is one of my favorite ways to connect with new cultures and people, and it always inspires me to bring that curiosity back into my work.

Faith is a central part of my life, grounding me and giving me strength through challenges. I love a good worship session in the car, coffee in hand (iced, with plenty of cream and sugar). At home, you’ll find me hanging out with my family, our two dogs, and a cat.
